PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a communication system capable of efficiently allocating communication resources to a relay station device and a base station apparatus. SOLUTION: A relay station device 31 communicates with a base station apparatus 21 via a radio line 61 at the timing of a time slot TS1 during the period of a Downlink frame FD1 and an Uplink frame FU1. In this case, resource increase and decrease is requested from the relay station device 31 to the base station apparatus 21 by using a control channel 1c that is set in accordance with a predetermined frequency and time slot. Alternatively, the base station apparatus 21 controls the resource increase and decrease to the relay station device 31 by using the control channel 1c in response to the request of the resource increase and decrease. The relay station device 31 communicates with a terminal station device 42 or the like in a relay station cover area 72 at the timing of time slots TS2-TS5 during the period of a Downlink frame FD2 and an Uplink frame FU2.
