PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing apparatus and processing method for improving the working efficiency by shortening the period required for alignment or for reducing equipment, and to improve the working efficiency of each processing work in device and method for assembling a display panel module including a plurality of types of processing work. SOLUTION: This processing apparatus has a positioning means that performs processing at a plurality of processing parts on a processing side of a display panel substrate conveyed from an adjacent work apparatus, performs alignment with the processing section at at least one of the plurality of processing parts, and positions the processing section at at least one of the other processing parts based on the data obtained by the alignment.
