An example fuel cell fluid includes an oil phase and an emulsifier associated with the oil phase. The emulsifier is for forming a microemulsion with an aqueous phase and the oil phase. The oil phase carries the aqueous phase in the microemulsion that moves within a fuel cell and provides thermal and water management functions.
