<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor excellent in dynamic characteristics, capable of suppressing dust from a welded portion and obtaining high moment rigidity in small size. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The motor comprises a rotor (R) having a shaft (13) and a hub (2) coupled with the shaft and a stator (S) having a motor base (5) and a sleeve (10) secured to the motor base. Under a state where the shaft is inserted into the sleeve (10), the rotor is supported rotatably for the stator through bearings (SB, RB). The shaft and the hub are formed by weld-bonding while a covering portion for covering a molten joint in this bonding is installed in the structure. A neighboring range including the joint is made to be a recess (26) which is recessed more than the peripheral surface, and the covering portion is contained in the recess not to project from the peripheral surface.
