PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner efficiently removing dust attached and collected in a dust collection bag, inhibiting reduction in suction air flow rate, having improved dust collecting performance, and having reduced size and weight. SOLUTION: A dust-removing section for removing the dust attached to the dust collection bag includes a sliding lever 36 periodically sliding in association with a cord reel 29 rotating when unwinding and/or winding a power cord, and a lattice-shaped vibrating plate 26 periodically operating in association with the sliding lever 36 and vibrating the dust collection bag. The vibrating plate 26 transmits vibration to the dust collection bag to efficiently remove the dust attached and collected in the dust collection bag, and ribs 101 constituting the vibrating plate 26 and extending at least in a vertical direction has a wing profiled cross-section; thus, the vortex loss is reduced when sucking air, and strong suction force is achieved.
