PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote reduction in reconditioning cost of an old gas meter, while enhancing the efficiency of a gas-meter manufacturing process and suppressing loss of display mediums attached to the casing of a gas meter, by reducing the number of the display mediums. SOLUTION: To the external surface of the casing of the gas meter, a display seal 20 is stuck on which at least the year of manufacture 26 among inscription items prescribed in the Measurement Law, a verification mark or a standard conformity mark 23 of the gas meter, and an implement number 22 of the gas meter are inscribed.
