<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a light receiving apparatus used for optical communication in which the mounting accuracy and pitch accuracy of respective components are relaxed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The light receiving apparatus includes: a lens array 3 which condenses a plurality of collimated light signals; a lens 4 which transforms the state of the light of the plurality of light signals condensed by the lens array 3 into collimated light; a lens 5 which condenses the plurality of light signals collimated by the lens 4; and light receiving parts (61, 62, 63, 64) which receive the light signals condensed by the lens 5 wherein the lens array 3 and the lens 4 are disposed so that the distance between them is the sum of focal lengths of the respective lenses, the lens 4 and the lens are disposed so that the distance between them is the sum of the focal lengths of the respective lenses, furthermore, the lens 5 and the light receiving parts are disposed so that the distances between the lens 5 and the respective light receiving parts (61, 62, 63, 64) are the focal length of the lens 5.
