PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase expectations for the next jackpot. SOLUTION: The game machine indicates an expectation degree for a latent probability variable game state by the changeover of a performance mode. Specifically, the game machine performs shifting destination drawing for switching the performance mode using a drawing table where the probability of shifting to each performance mode on a display screen is determined at prescribed timing, and switches the performance mode on the basis of the drawing result of the shifting destination drawing. In the drawing table, the probability of shifting to a predetermined performance mode (the performance mode for which the expectation degree is considered to be high) is high in a high probability state such as the latent probability variable game state, and the probability of shifting to other performance modes (the performance modes for which the expectation degree is considered to be low) is high in a low probability state such as a normal game state. Also, the game machine switches to the performance mode of the higher expectation degree than that in the present performance mode regardless of the drawing result of the shifting destination drawing (or without performing the shifting destination drawing) for the time of a time shortening game state.
