PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the necessity of reconstruction of data frames, to simplify data transfer processing and to increase a data transfer speed. SOLUTION: A data frame and a token frame are circulated through a transmission line among respective terminal devices 1 to 6 network-connected through the ring-type transmission line. A terminal device detecting the token frame by a token detector A suppresses the passage of the received frame by a multiplexer B, and after ending the reception of the token, transmits the token frame to circulate only one token on the transmission line. A terminal device receiving a transmission request transmits the token frame after transmitting a data frame after ending the reception of the token frame. A terminal device for receiving data receives the data in parallel with the passage of the data frame to the downstream terminal device, and the data frame passing respective terminal devices is circulated up to the transmission source terminal device and erased.
