<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode body for manufacturing a nonaqueous electrolyte battery which has a large discharge capacity and hardly causes a problem such as a short-circuit between positive and negative electrodes, and to provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery using the positive electrode body. <P>SOLUTION: The positive electrode body with an average thickness of 0.05 to 0.3 mm includes a substrate part; and a counter part with an average thickness of 10 μm or less, which is formed on one surface side of the substrate, and opposed to an electrolyte layer of a battery in a nonaqueous electrolyte battery. The porosity of the substrate part is 15 vol.% or less, and the porosity of the counter part is smaller than that of the substrate part.
