<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection device in backbone type motorcycles having a body frame-aft-downwardly inclined backbone, and an intake pathway of the engine disposed along under the backbone, in which the device is configured such that a fuel injection valve can be mounted on the upper sidewall of the intake pathway without interference of the backbone, and fuel can be injected from the valve toward the intake port of the cylinder head. <P>SOLUTION: A backbone type motorcycle having an intake pathway 12 being communicated with an intake port 11 of a cylinder head 9, which is disposed along under the backbone Ff of the body frame F, in which the fuel injection valve 30 is provided at the upper sidewall of the downstream region of the intake pathway 12 such that at least the upper end of the valve 30 is located forward of the midpoint 32 of the outer curve in the middle bend section 14c of the backbone Ff. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
