<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC motor driving unit which can enhance the driving efficiency by reducing a loss in low-output range of itself that drives an AC motor with by an inverter device, and also can continue its operation even if partial failure occurs in the inverter device of the driving unit. <P>SOLUTION: Each phase of stator coils in the AC motor, which is constituted in multiphase of three or more phases, are constituted each independently, and n pieces ( n is an integer or two or over) each of single phase inverter units are connected to each phase of stator coils so as to constitute n pairs of multiphase inverter devices, and the number of pairs of the multiphase inverter devices, which are to be operated within these n pairs of inverter devices, is selected according to the load of the multiphase AC motor, and the output is controlled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
