<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment agent excellent in durability capable of efficiently decomposing a fluorine-containing compound in emission, and a method of treating emission. <P>SOLUTION: The agent of treating a fluorine-containing compound in emission is produced by kneading and molding a mixture of Al(OH)<SB>3</SB>having a mean diameter (a median diameter) of at least 55μm and equal to or smaller than 160μm and Ca(OH)<SB>2</SB>in a mole ratio of 3:7 to 5:5 into a molded article made to have a bulk density of at least 950 g/L and subsequently drying and calcining the molded article, or by packing a treatment agent comprising a composite oxide as its main component obtained by calcining a mixture of Al(OH)<SB>3</SB>and Ca(OH)<SB>2</SB>, at a packing density of at least 0.68 kg/L. The method of treating emission includes causing the agent to make contact with emission comprising a fluorine-containing compound at a temperature of 550 to 850°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
