<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve holding stability and connection reliability of a braided wire. <P>SOLUTION: In the shield electric wire 10, an insulating covering 12, the braided wire 13, and a sheath 14 are arranged on the outer peripheral side of a core wire 11 in this order. In this shield electric wire 10, an annular base 20 with ends are fitted on the outer peripheral side of the sheath 14, the braided wire 13 is folded back onto the outer peripheral side of the base 20, and furthermore, a caulking ring 30 is mounted by caulking on the outer peripheral side of this folded back braided wire 13. The caulking ring 30 has a thick wall part 31 having a thicker wall than that of the other part of this caulking ring 30.
