PURPOSE: A method for preparing sphingosine from phytospingosine, having an optical activity is provided to synthesize spingosine having 99% of more stereoselectivity. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing sphingosine comprises: a step of reacting NaH with a compound of chemical formula 1 to obtain a compound of chemical formula 2; a step of reacting the compound of chemical formula 2 with POCl_3 in pyridine; a step of reacting with 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene, 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane, or potassium t-butoxide to obtain a compound of chemical formula 3; a step of opening the cycle and deprotecting the compound of chemical formula 3.
