The method involves inserting a product for insertion into a printed product (10) with a fold. Another product for insertion is inserted into another printed product (24) with another fold. The printed products are arranged in such a way that they can be displaced relative to each other in the direction of the folds. Each printed product has an edge section (26) which projects beyond the other printed product. An independent claim is also included for an apparatus for producing printed products.
