PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle air conditioning unit capable of preventing the occurrence of dew condensation on a case body by surely discharging drainage water generated from an evaporator through a drain hole without being adhered to the inner wall of the case body. SOLUTION: The vehicle air conditioning unit 1 includes the evaporator 2 for cooling ventilated air; the case body 3 including a ventilation space 28 formed upstream of the evaporator 2, a drainage space 15 formed at the lower side of the evaporator 2, and a drain hole 5; and an inner guide 4 including a suction port 11 for admitting the drainage water into the inner guide 4, a partition plate 10 for partitioning the ventilation space 28 and the drainage space 15, and a drain guide 6 in communication with the drain hole 5. The inner guide 4 has a substantially box-like shape comprised of a drainage water circulation space 8 surrounded by the partition plate 10, side faces 9 and 14, and a lower face 25. Except for the upper edge and the drain guide section 6 in the inner guide 4, the side faces 9 and 14 and the lower face 25 in the inner guide 4 are not in contact with the case body 3.
