<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user interface apparatus capable of achieving an operation environment favorable and excellent for application to a small portable device. <P>SOLUTION: On a screen of a display unit 18 with a touch panel 14, a plurality of adjustment items for image quality adjustment of a live view image 31 as a photographic image are displayed as pieces 32a to 32e, a drag operation for the touch panel 14 is detected, and an adjustment item as a target of drag operation depending on the detected drag operation, for example, a shutter speed of the piece 32d is set for an item of image quality adjustment.
