PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system including a storage battery and a handheld tool device achieving the optimum operating rate of the storage battery used for various handheld tool devices in a method for controlling the storage battery and handheld tool device. SOLUTION: In this method for controlling the storage battery (10) including interfaces (12, 13) for communicating with the handheld tool device (1) and feeding power to the handheld tool device, characteristic information on the handheld tool device and/or operational process information on the handheld tool device is received through the interfaces.
