<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the trouble of disconnecting multiple cables even when a file base station with an external storage device mounted thereon is conveyed along with a body. <P>SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus includes: the body 10 having a CPU, a keyboard 47 and a display device 78; the file base station 80 with the external storage device such as an FD (D81) or a CD-ROM (D83) mounted thereon; and a port replicator 100 with multiple connectors mounted thereon.
