<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray image diagnostic apparatus which permits clear images to be obtained after alleviating a burden on a subject during photographing and securing the safeness of the subject. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The X-ray image diagnostic apparatus 1 obtaining information concerning the interior of the subject as image information by irradiating the subject with X rays from an X-ray generation source 3a, includes a top plate 4b carrying the subject on the front and having an X-ray detector 3b detecting X rays penetrating the subject on the rear, a footrest 4c on which the subject puts his or her feet in one end of the longitudinal direction of the top plate 4b, and a chin rest 4d on which the subject puts his or her chin at the other end of the longitudinal direction of the top plate 4b.
