<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously generate an accompaniment sound and an arpeggio sound by matching them. <P>SOLUTION: A chord detection part 4 detects chord on the basis of performance information expressing performance for designating the chord in a first performance region 1a. An accompaniment sound generation part 8 generates and outputs the accompaniment sound on the basis of the detection chord and accompaniment pattern data selected from an accompaniment pattern data storage part 2. A high-pitched sound conversion part 5 converts the performance information from a second performance region 1b according to the detection chord. An arpeggio sound generation part 9 generates and outputs the arpeggio sound on the basis of the performance information expressing the performance in the second performance region 1a or the performance information from the high-pitched sound conversion part 5 and arpeggio pattern data selected from an arpeggio pattern data storage 3. The selected arpeggio pattern data and the accompaniment pattern data are related.
