PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold structure for a DTM (Discrete Track Medium) generating no pattern defect when a mold structure is peeled (released) from the imprint resist layer of the mold structure, to provide an imprinting method by which transfer accuracy is enhanced by using the mold structure for the DTM, to provide a method for producing the DTM by which recording characteristics and playback characteristics are enhanced and to provide the DTM. SOLUTION: The mold structure for the DTM includes, on the surface thereof, a plurality of line pattern forming concave portions which are positioned so as to be adjacent and substantially parallel to each other and a communicating concave portion which is positioned so as to intersect the adjacent line pattern forming concave portions and connects the plurality of line pattern forming concave portions.
