<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To settle the problem wherein almost all vegetables require a work called "ridging" but the work scooping up the callous soil between the ridges with a hoe or a shovel and transferring to the roots is a considerably hard work, and to provide a hand dredge reducing the work. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The hand dredge is originally a tool for scooping the soil and sand, accumulated on the bottom of a groove, or the like, and comprises a thin steel plate to be light in weight. By making the lower part of the hand dredge semicircular form (convex) and using the obtained for "ridging", the callous soil between the ridges can be much scooped with a little force and the "ridging" is made to be easily performable.
