Disclosed is a method for providing a prepaid card settlement service for a credit card, and a system thereof. The method of the present invention comprises the steps of enabling an intermediate server to receive, from a communication terminal, prepaid card information including the identification number of the prepaid card issued offline and credit card information including the identification number of the credit card the charge of which is to be paid by the prepaid card, enabling the intermediate server to transmit proxy payment request information including prepaid card information and credit card information to a credit card company server, and enabling the credit card company server to deduct money deposited on the prepaid card based on the credit card charge. The present invention establishes links between the credit card and the prepaid card which is issued offline, and enables a charge on the credit card to be paid with the deposit on the prepaid card, thereby improving the usefulness and the marketability of the prepaid card.
