PURPOSE: A monorail vehicle movement control system using RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) and a control method thereof are provided to exchange information among a traveling way system, a control station system and a vehicle system, and control the movement of monorail vehicles. CONSTITUTION: A control station system(300) performs a traveling way system(200) and wire communication. The control station system receives vehicle movement information. The control station system monitors the movement status of monorail vehicles. The control station system transmits monorail vehicle movement information, monorail vehicle control information, interphone calling information, etc. to the traveling way system. The control station system remotely controls the movement of the monorail vehicles.
