Method and device for assessing a VoIP packet creation and packet transfer and indication to the end point involved in a VoIP communication

The method involves receiving a voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) received-packet sequence (RXA) via an Internet protocol-network connection at an end point side. A VoIP received quality (QRXA) of the VoIP received-packet sequence is determined at the end point side. The determined received quality is delivered and indicated at the end point side via an optical indicator e.g. LED. A VoIP transmitted-quality (QTX) of a VoIP transmitted-packet sequence (TXA) is determined at the end point side. A difference between the qualities is determined. An independent claim is also included for a device for assessing a voice over Internet protocol-packet creation and packet transfer.
