Cross-linking one-component or two-component polyurethane composition comprises at least one isocyanate terminated polyurethane prepolymer. The isocyanate terminated polyurethane prepolymer is a reaction product of polyols and aromatic polymeric isocyanates, with an average functionality of greater than 2, which exhibits at least two isocyanate groups, and comprises unreacted monomeric isocyanate content of less than 5 wt.%.
