CONTROLLER FOR A CAR AIR CONDITIONER

PURPOSE: A device for controlling an air conditioner is provided to reduce the fuel consumption of a vehicle by preventing the excessive operation of an air conditioner by lowering the inner temperature of the vehicle with external air. CONSTITUTION: A device for controlling an air conditioner is composed of an automatic temperature controller(100), an infrared sensor(110), and an outdoor temperature sensor(120). The automatic temperature controller controls the air conditioner(300) to match with the target temperature set by a user. The infrared sensor senses the surface temperature of the user under the control of the automatic temperature controller. The outdoor temperature sensor senses the outer temperature of a vehicle under the control of the automatic temperature controller. The infrared sensor senses one or more of the body surface temperature and the face surface temperature of the user and when the air-conditioner operates by the automatic temperature controller, the infrared sensor stops the operation of the air conditioner stop if the outer temperature detected by the outdoor temperature sensor is lower than a first reference temperature and the surface temperature of the user detected by the infrared sensor is lower than a second reference temperature.
