Class 7(2) [Also in Group XXXI] Blanked-off pipes 7, 8 acting as resonator silencers lead from an induction pipe 4, running from an intake 6 at the front of an omnibus 1 to its rear-mounted or underfloor engine 3, to damp intake air oscillations when an engine-exhaust brake is used. The pipes 7, 8 may have adjustable head ends and may be one-quarter of an oscillation wavelength long.
