PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the reduction of the number of manufacturing processes and the simplification of the whole manufacturing process to reduce the cost of an operation component in a case that the operation component for a portable telephone decorated by a pattern material and plating is manufactured. SOLUTION: A slide mold 6 is arranged between the fixed mold 4 and movable mold 5 of a mold 2 and a support material is held to the slide mold 6. A cavity S is formed by the slide mold 6 and the movable mold 5 by closing the fixed mold 4 and the movable mold 5, and the pattern material is arranged in the cavity S. Thereafter, a molten resin material is injected in the cavity S to obtain an intermediate molded product having an underside operation button to which the pattern material is applied and the intermediate molded product is held to the slide mold 6. After the fixed mold 4 and the movable mold 5 are opened, the slide mold 6 is moved to again close the fixed mold 4 and the movable mold 5 and the upper side operation button of the intermediate molded product is covered with the vacuum pot of a plating apparatus.
