The method involves displaying a document editing pane for editing a shared document. A collaboration pane is displayed adjacent to the document editing pane, where the collaboration pane is operative to display collaboration data. The collaboration data comprises of identities of a collaborator. The collaboration pane comprises of a user interface (80A) component causing the identities of the collaborator to be displayed. An independent claim is also included for a computer-readable medium having computer-executable instructions cause a computer to perform a method of managing and viewing collaboration data of a shared electronic document.
