PURPOSE: An automatic gain controller and a method thereof are provided to measure a received radar signal per pulse in real time by gain controlling with automatic control. CONSTITUTION: A broadband LOG sensor(120) measures the intensity of the wideband signal of the input signal. An auto gain control part(128) generates a path control signal. A narrow band amplifier(130) selectively amplifies the narrow band signal of the input signal. The narrow band amplifier comprises a gain route and a general route. A delay line(132) delays the narrow band signal.
