METHOD OF PREPARING NANOSTRUCTURED METAL PARTICLES

FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of preparing nanostructured metal and bimetal particles with size of textural features in the order of nanometres. The method involves preparation of a reverse micellar dispersion of a reducing agent from the group of flavonoids, surfactant sodium bis-2-ethylhexyl sulfosuccinate and addition of metal ions in form of an aqueous salt solution of Ag and/or Cu or Fe or Ni or Cd with molecular concentration between 310-4 and 310-3 M. The dispersion is prepared while stirring and subsequent cooling of the mixture to 20-25C and filtration. Metal ions are then added to the solution in form of an aqueous solution of a metal ammonium salt to obtain a reverse micellar solution of nanostructured particles based on a surfactant in a non-polar solvent. Distilled water is added to the solution which is then stirred, settled and the primary aqueous mixture of nanostructured particles is separated from the non-polar solvent. The separated mixture of nanostructured particles is heated, then cooled and held until complete separation of excess surfactant from the aqueous primary mixture in order to obtain an aqueous dispersion of nanostructured metal or bimetal particles. ^ EFFECT: faster formation and increased concentration of nanostructured metal and bimetal particles when obtained in micellar and aqueous solutions. ^ 4 cl, 11 ex
