PURPOSE: Non-magnetic fe-mn vibration damping alloy steel with excellent machinability and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reinforce vibration damping capacity and to enhance the tensile strength by adjusting the content of S and Bi. CONSTITUTION: Non-magnetic fe-mn vibration damping alloy steel with excellent machinability consists of C 0~0.25 weight% or less, Si 0~0.50weight% or less, Mn 10~24 weight%, S 0.05~0.50 weight%, Bi 0.05~0.25 weight%, and Fe. Bi is charged in a line type. The vibration damping capacity of the alloy steel is 18~23 weight%. The tensile strength of the alloy steel is 50~70Kgf /mm. The hardness of the alloy steel is 155~180HB.
