PURPOSE: A portable device and a temperature control method are provided to enable a user to recognize the reception of a phone call, a message and an e-mail secretly by sending the temperature variation of a terminal. CONSTITUTION: A heat generation element(15) generates heat, and is installed in a certain position with which a user's hand contacts. A communication module(10) receives a phone call, a message and a mail. A control unit(13) controls the temperature of the heat generation element variably according to the reception of the phone call, message and e-mail. A heating mode is set up, the control unit rises the temperature of the heat generation element.
