NEW EPOXY RESIN AND THERMOSETTING POLYMER COMPOSITE COMPRISING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An epoxy resin and a thermosetting polymer composite including thereof are provided to improve the mechanical strength of the resin at the high temperature by a cardo system unit or linear epoxy structure. CONSTITUTION: An epoxy resin contains a naphthalene system unit and a cardo system unit in a main chain. The epoxy resin is modified by at least one side modified selected from the group consisting of an epoxy group, a (meth)acrylate group, a vinyl group, an allyl group, a carboxylic acid group, and an acid anhydride group. The epoxy resin is marked with either chemical formula 1 or chemical formula 2. In the chemical formulas, n is bigger than 0 and smaller than 100. A thermosetting polymer composite includes the epoxy resin and at least one kind of filler.
