PURPOSE: A submarine is provided to simplify the manufacture and ensure improved acoustic signature property by employing an opening and closing unit for an outer cover of a lock passing through a pressure hull. CONSTITUTION: A submarine comprises one or more locks(2) and a pressure hull(4). The locks pass through the pressure hull, wherein an end arranged inside the pressure hull is closed with an inner cover(10) and the other end arranged outside the pressure hull can be closed with an outer cover(12) in a pressure resistant manner. The driving part for opening or closing the outer cover is arranged outside the pressure hull and can be controlled with a controller arranged within the pressure hull.
