PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for delay time computing and delay adjusting between a base station and a remote radio frequency unit in a BWA(Broadband Wireless Access) system are provided to enable synchronization regardless of the number of remote RF units by measuring the delay time between a base station and the remote RF unit and compensating the delay. CONSTITUTION: A pulse generator(202) generates a sync pulse signal by using a GPS(Global Positioning System) signal, and a pulse difference counter(206) measures a default offset time and a delay time by using an actual cable and a reference cable. The default offset time and the delay time is the time taken for going and returning a remote RF(Radio Frequency) unit. A pulse difference counter calculates the delay time resulting from a cable by using the default offset time and the time delay.
