The method involves dividing of components into components (O11-O13) of primary group (G1) and components (O21-23) of secondary group (G2). Alarming of the components of secondary group is requested, where the components of primary group are supplied with voltages via a management element (OM) and a multiplexed network. Supply of the voltages to the components of secondary group via a switching mode power supply is controlled in case of reception of the request of alarming of the components of secondary group. An independent claim is also included for a device for controlling life phases of components of a multiplexed communication network.
