<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing apparatus capable of suppressing deterioration of image quality immediately after a new developing agent is supplied. <P>SOLUTION: The developing apparatus 7 includes a developing unit 200 having a developing chamber 70 in which a developing roller 71 and a supply roller 72 are disposed, and a toner cartridge 100 having a developing agent container 110 where a developing agent is accommodated and an agitator 120 for agitating the developing agent while rotating, and is configured such that the developing agent circulates between the developing chamber 70 and the developing agent container 110. The developing agent container 110 includes a cylindrical-faced bottom wall part 111 centered about a rotation center C1 of the agitator 120 and a protruding cylindrical-faced wall part 112 disposed so as to protrude from the bottom wall part 111 toward the developing chamber 70 side, in which an aperture 130 that communicates with the developing chamber 70 is formed.
