<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a pressure resistance of a switching element, and also to relatively reduce a capacity of a capacitor, by minimizing a surge voltage generated owing to the operation of the switching element. <P>SOLUTION: A power tool is provided with: a housing body 12; a grip part 15; a switch part 18; a battery; a three-phase bridge circuit 45 composed of the switching element 44; and the capacitor 43c. The three-phase bridge circuit 45 is provided in the vicinity of a motor 20 in the housing body 12. The capacitor 43c is arranged in the vicinity of a position of a switch lever part 18.
