<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy-saving effect display method which supports to facilitate management of energy-saving measures by allowing display of a difference between a target value and an actual result value of the reduction in power consumption and easy comparison between the target value and the actual result value. <P>SOLUTION: A personal computer 10 includes at least a display part 14, a power supply part 21, a consumed power information storage part 25, and a main control part 26. The consumed power information storage part 25 is controlled by the main control part 26 to store a history of consumed power by successively storing a current consumed power, a reduced power calculated on the basis of a difference between a consumed power in an operation state requiring a maximum power and the current consumed power, and the present date in association with each other. The main control part 26 calculates the difference between the target value and the actual result value of power consumption on the basis of the history of consumed power and generates such an image to display it on a display part 14 that user's sense of achievement is more induced through sight and his or her sense of fun is more evoked as the actual result value of reduced power approaches the target value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
