<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collation device for removing such an unnecessary image as the image of dirt and wrinkle from an image output from an image pickup means, and for collating the image picked up by the image pickup means with a preliminarily registered image, a removal circuit for surely removing any unnecessary image from the image output from the image pickup means, a circuit system equipped with a plurality of removal circuits and a collation device equipped with the circuit system. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An image obtained by rotating the image of an object picked up by a CCD 1 by a prescribed angle with the center of the image as the center of rotation is generated by a rotation processing circuit 34, and the centers of both images before and after rotation are matched, and the logical product of the pixels of the image after rotation and the pixels of the image before rotation is calculated by a logical operation circuit 35.
