<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light transmitting type display mechanism capable of clearly distinguishing the difference of colors in a display part between the lighted state and put-out state of a light emitting means without displaying the color displayed at the display part when lighting the light emitting means, on the display part when putting out the light emitting means. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The light transmitting type display mechanism 1 is provided with a transparent base material 40 made of transparent synthetic resin and formed, on the surface, with a first color layer 10 having light transmitting property, and a second color layer 30 covering the surface of the first color layer 10 to shield the transmission of light and provided with a display part 31 exposing the first color layer 10; a colored transparent base material 50 made of colored transparent synthetic resin and disposed on the back face side of a portion, provided with the display part 31, of the transparent base material 40; and a light guide member 60 made of transparent synthetic resin and disposed on the back face side of the colored transparent base material 50 to guide light from the light emitting means 70 into the colored transparent base material 50.
