CONCEALED SLIDING SECURITY DOOR

The invention relates to a security door which is installed together with a standard swinging door. The fundamental component of the security door is an armoured panel concealed in one of the walls contiguous with the standard door. In an emergency said panel will slide out by means of a motor or a pneumatic system until the panel fills the space of the leaf of the standard door. The width of the system will be similar to that of the standard door and the frame thereof. Both the leading edge of the panel and the rail from which the panel hangs will remain concealed in the frame of the door by means of trim plates. The door is suitable for homes and offices due to the protection offered in the event of a robbery, mugging or kidnapping attempt, guaranteeing that the presence of the security panel will not have been detected during visual inspections prior to the attack.
