LONG AND SLIM TYPE APEX FOR TIRE

摘要

PURPOSE: A long slim type apex for a tire is provided to improve fuel efficiency, ride comfort, and control stability by reducing a weight and a rotary resistance. CONSTITUTION: A long slim type apex for a tire comprises a base portion(5) which is located at the upper part of a bead portion(3) of a pneumatic tire and alleviates impact from the bead portion and an extension part(2) which extended from the base portion to a shoulder portion of the tire. The rate of the length from a base to the end part of the base portion is 800~850% about the width of the base on the transverse section the width direction of the tire.
