<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cooling efficiency during replacement of a disk drive. <P>SOLUTION: A data storage apparatus includes: a main housing including a control circuit for controlling signals for a plurality of disk drives 401, 1605; a plurality of cables having a second connector connected to a first unit; a plurality of first connectors 404 connected to the disk drive; and a first unit 1611 having a blower for supplying flow of air for cooling the disk drive and the control circuit. The first unit is connected to the cable so as to be slid into the main housing and mounted to a mounting mechanism. The apparatus includes a second unit 1602 so as to be slid into the main housing. A second unit is connected to a cable, has a blower for supplying air for cooling the control circuit, is removable from the main housing, and can be replaced with the first unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
