摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily and inexpensively quantifying a nucleic acid in high sensitivity and accuracy, without needing expensive reagents and/or equipment for exclusive use. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes a step of adding a sample nucleic acid in a buffer solution for nucleic acid amplification containing reducing agent molecules, redox molecules and magnesium ions to conduct an amplification reaction, a step of measuring reduction electric current generated by reductive reaction by the reducing molecules and the redox molecules under such conditions that the concentration of the magnesium ions in the buffer solution is decreased by forming magnesium pyrophosphate with the magnesium ions from pyrophosphate ions produced in association with the sample nucleic acid's amplification, when the amplification reaction proceeds in the buffer solution, and a step of calculating the amplified nucleic acid's amount in the buffer solution or the sample nucleic acid's amount added based on the measured reducing electric current value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
