PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reducing stapling loads, by which good binding can be performed without upsizing a stapler itself or without using the stapler high in strength by reducing the penetration resistance at driving the stapler when a plurality of paper sheets are bound by the stapler. SOLUTION: The paper binding method is characterized in that the stapler is driven into a binding section after a penetration resistance reducing agent is stuck to the binding section of the paper in advance when binding the plurality of paper sheets that are copied or printed in an image forming apparatus such as a copying machine and a printer by the stapler.
